For all keen racers wanting to test their skills against the best in the area or just have a great evening’s entertainment - the Ace Karting Plus Open Grand Prix evenings.

These kick-off in 2012 on Tuesday 17th January at 7pm and are then every 2 weeks.

You will be pleased to know that the races are still just £15 to enter. For that you will get 5 heats of 10 laps each. These heats will be run from the grid and randomised by the computer.

Depending on numbers on the night we will then have 15 lap semi-finals and/or a 20 lap final based on the number of points accumulated in the heats.

Medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the final.

In addition, as this is a TOURNAMENT, points will be awarded for the first 6 places in each grand prix with overall tournament 1st, 2nd and 3rd places being awarded trophies after 5 grand prix races.

So the dates for your diaries are Tuesday 17th Jan, 31st Jan, 14th Feb, 28th Feb, and the tornament finale on 13th Mar.

We will be running further open grand prix/tournaments throughout the year.

Mini Moto riders can bring their own own bikes, ride the track and take advantage of all our facilities including our computer timing system (a print-out will be provided).

Groups of riders can organise their own races and assuming they can attach a transponder to their bikes, the race outcome will be fully captured on our timing computer.

As this is also a club evening you will also get the opportunity to exchange experiences and tips with other riders.

Starting Tuesday 10th January 2012, 6 to 8pm and then every second Tuesday (alternating with the Open Grand Prix).

Pricing is £10 / hour session per driver with breaks to allow time for maintenance and to get riders and their bikes on and off the track.

The sessions will be marshaled by our own staff who will also scrutinise the bikes to make sure they are safe prior to riding on the track.

However, please note riders will be using the circuit at their own risk and therefore will not be covered by Ace Karting Plus insurance.
